During your first session, you will meet with a personal exercise specialist to discuss your current health status and goals. They will review any injuries you may have had and discuss your medications and any chronic conditions (especially joint discomfort and neck and back pain). With this information, a customized training plan is developed for you.
Before you begin the conditioning session, your instructor will answer any questions, then explain how low-force, high-intensity training works and why we do it.
You are then taken through a conditioning session with detailed instructions as you lift weights on a series of machines to engage specific muscles. Special attention is given to teaching you to maintain correct breathing and movement.
Your training is customized for your individual goals and capabilities. As you are guided through your first session, the exercises may feel somewhat challenging, but the goal initially is to teach you the proper form to engage the muscles with gradual, steady tension. During the following conditioning sessions, the weight you lift will increase as you adapt to the workout intensity.
Always 1: 1 Supervision
During every conditioning session, your exercise instructor always accompanies you at all times. Detailed supervision makes the performance guidelines clear and understandable. When you arrive for your sessions, the equipment will already be set up with your weights and settings.
Ideal Environment
The workout area is distraction-free, without spectators, music, or mirrors to allow for your best focus. Clinic temperatures are maintained at an optimal 64 degrees to reduce the body heat that would otherwise interfere with muscular contractions. You don’t need to change into gym clothes or shower after the session.
